Birds eating apples on a cold and snowy day in Corvallis

It was a cold and snowy day in Corvallis — and I found a bunch of robins and starlings taking turns eating (fermented?) apples.   They didn’t seem to mind me so much.  I think they were just happy to have found some food.

Spent two weeks teaching a class in data management at the Guangxi Medical University (Nanning CN).   Of course I brought a couple of cameras to capture a few images.

Attended a stellar concert at the Guangxi Art University, performed by my colleagues (and new friends): Dr. Michelle Rahn (University of Oregon), Dr. Chris Whyte (Western Oregon Univ.) and Paul Owen (Western Oregon University).   (I accompanied them on a visit to Nanning where I taught a course on Data Management at Guangxi Medical University.)
